Dear Young Creative, Get to Know About The Sweetness of Doing Nothing
Who could have thought doing nothing fuels creativity too? That there could be some sweetness to it...😒
Dear Young Creative,
As always, I come bearing productive news!
I had a presentation a few months ago. While researching what to present, I stumbled on a concept—dolce far niente— (through a friend) and I thought it was divine. Then, it was a gold mine, not only because I am a chronic workaholic and saw it as a saving grace, but also because I found the idea to be very true. However, this realization didn’t come instantly. Although I have highlighted only a few, there are a lot more benefits to get from having time away from your creative responsibilities. You just have to give it a try.
How do you then practise it? You would ask. Don’t worry. I have got you covered.
In my next post1, I will highlight some of the activities you can engage in if you want to practise dolce far niente.
