Happy April, everyone! As we welcome a new month, let's focus on positivity and spreading kindness wherever we go. Let's make this month one to remember by bringing joy and happiness to those around us.
Here are a few ways we can spread kindness this month:
Send a handwritten note to someone you appreciate. Tell them how much they mean to you and how grateful you are to have them in your life.
Donate to a local charity or volunteer your time to help those in need. Giving back to your community is a great way to spread kindness and positivity.
Get together with friends and family. Spending time with those we care about, whether via phone conversation, video chat, or in-person visit, can bring so much happiness and positivity into our’s and their lives.
Take care of yourself. Practice self-care by doing something you enjoy, taking a relaxing bath, or getting outside for some fresh air and exercise. When we take care of ourselves, we're better able to spread kindness and positivity to those around us.
Remember, every small act of kindness can have a big impact. Let's make this April a month of positivity, joy, and spreading kindness wherever we go.
In other news, I just released my first Poetic Short Film on Youtube!
Title: SKIN DEEP
Logline: In this one-character short film, a young man battles with insecurities about his skin and body but through a series of introspective monologues and vivid visual techniques, he discovers the power of self-acceptance.
Watch here:
In this project, I combine many things I am passionate about into one. It is me being myself as creatively as I can be without being restricted.
In Skin Deep, I get to combine my love for poetry with my love for visual metaphors.
I get to talk about some of the most crucial issues—self-love, self-acceptance and body positivity.
I get to play around with abstractionism. I get to do the weird things I love to do. I get to push boundaries between what is usually acceptable and what is not.
Although I am still growing my wings in these aspects of filmmaking, I am proud of what I achieved in such a short time. This experiment is neither “IT” nor is it perfect. There is more room for improvement and that fills me with joy and makes me hopeful. The future is exciting! I am always ready to learn and I jump at any opportunity to do that!
Enjoy.
